V/O:

Having a collective health, safety and wellbeing focus, allows workplaces to take a person-centred approach that keeps victim survivors safe and supports perpetrator accountability.

V/O:

It also allows organisations to support staff retention, reduce absenteeism and boost engagement.

V/O:

This Guide is built around five steps.

[On-screen text: 5 Steps]

V/O:

Step 1: Measure health, safety and wellbeing.

[On-screen text: Step 1: Measure health, safety and wellbeing]

V/O:

Individual, team and organisation wellbeing can be measured by everybody completing the 5-minute PERMAH survey.

Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, Accomplishments, Health]

V/O:

Data from this survey is not only helpful in informing your actions, it also creates an opportunity for continuous improvement at an individual, team and organisational level.

V/O:

It is important to note that work relationships and teams are key in any organisational cultural change, improving workforce wellbeing, and reducing fatigue and burnout.

V/O:

We therefore recommend measuring the wellbeing of teams and organisations using this survey at least twice a year.

V/O:

Step 2: Assess levels of wellbeing.

V/O:

You will receive your results by email, which will allow you to assess your current levels of wellbeing.

The report includes scores across the PERMAH pillars.

V/O:

Remember your goal is not to get perfect scores. It is healthy for your scores to ebb and flow based on what is happening at your workplace.

Step 3: Agree on an organisational health, safety and wellbeing plan.

[On-screen text: Agree on an organisational health, safety and wellbeing plan]

V/O:

An external facilitator, or someone in your workplace or team, can lead this process.

V/O:

Using the organisational self-assessment tool, included in the guide, combined with the organisation’s PERMAH report, discuss things the organisation can do to improve workforce wellbeing.

V/O:

For cultural change to occur, we know it must be embedded in attitudes, behaviours, and practices and this will take time and an ongoing commitment.

Teams are encouraged to:

Start small to gain momentum and get quick wins,
