Stony Creek

Stony Creek within the Albion Quarter is a concrete drain corridor which is an important part of regional flood management.

On this page

The Stony Creek corridor originally consisted of a natural environment of grasslands and open riparian woodlands. Today, most of the creek has been highly modified after a century of intense and extensive industry and manufacturing activity.

We are investigating design options to revitalise Stony Creek in Albion Quarter as an ecological and community place with integrated water management.

This will result in a creek concept design and opportunities for potential funding and delivery.
