My name is Ana Hanson
I'm a visual artist
living in Caroline Springs,
in Melton in Melbourne.
We are at the Caroline Springs
train station
and this is my artwork
for Traveler's Garden,
which has recently been installed.
A lot of my art is inspired by nature.
I also have a lot of art movements
that influence my style.
Like from traditional landscape art
to contemporary movements
like street art, illustration
and a lot of that
has gone into this piece, I think.
I was looking for something
that would bring a bit of joy
to commuters
who were travelling through the station.
It's a real honour
to be chosen for this artwork.
It also has a lot of meaning
for me to be chosen
to have my art at V-Line Station,
because I am from the country
now I live in the city.
A lot of my art actually explores
that tension
between a love for nature
and all of the urban
and contemporary influences around us.
I feel it's quite fitting
because V-Line is a bridge
between the country and the city.
I know that
lots of commuters are going to see it
‘train beeps’
while they're being beeped at
by the trains.
