About the program
The Sick Pay Guarantee is an Australian-first initiative that provided Victorian casual and contract workers in certain jobs with up to 38 hours a year of sick and carer’s pay. Payments were made at the national minimum wage.
The Sick Pay Guarantee pilot program was fully funded by the Victorian Government. It ran from 14 March 2022 until 30 June 2024.

Registrations and claims have closed
You can no longer sign up for the Sick Pay Guarantee or submit claims for sick and carer’s pay.
The pilot program ended on 30 June 2024.
