The 2024 ACFE Board–VDC professional development program will build the capability of the Learn Local pre-accredited workforce to deliver high-quality adult language, literacy, numeracy and digital programs.

Flipped Learning

Exploring flipped learning as a methodology to help educators to prioritise active learning during class time and to make effective use of the available class time to ensure language, literacy, numeracy, employability and digital (LLNED) are built into the model of delivery.

Developing digital skills with a blended learning approach

Developing strategies for blended delivery, developing learners’ digital skills and embedding digital skills into teaching practice, including communicating via email, researching information online, handling sensitive information in virtual ecosystems and safety using cloud-based collaboration spaces.

Teaching vulnerable learners – Journey to success

This series is for educators delivering pre-accredited programs in Learn Local providers to ensure all their learners succeed and progress to further study and/or work.

Professional leadership series

The audience for this series is senior managers, directors and board members from Learn Local providers registered with the ACFE Board. Participants are encouraged to attend both masterclasses according to their requirements. In Semester 2, the format will combine both masterclasses into one session to be held during the day.
