Information to help assigned assessors evaluate claims made under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Validation process used by assessors

When assessing a claim under the DRFA, the assigned assessor is required to complete the assessment section in the claim forms with the exception of Reconstruction of Essential Public Asset works.

Assurance and controls framework

The assurance and controls frameworks are required to be followed to facilitate the States’ assessment and reimbursement of the claims and the Commonwealth’s cost sharing contribution for eligible disasters. The process is reviewed by both State and Commonwealth appointed auditors. The below framework attached is specific to DRFA Category B essential public asset reconstruction works.
