MediSecure cyber incident

The Australian Government is leading the investigation and national response to the cyber incident involving prescription delivery service provider MediSecure.

Through this breach, a database containing personal health information has been accessed. This database included information on prescriptions distributed up until November 2023. Current prescription services are not affected.

Australian Government agencies are working closely with MediSecure and its administrators to manage the impacts of this incident. For the latest updates and more information, please visit the Department of Home Affairs webpage.
