If you’re at secondary school, you can do a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course as part of year 11 and 12. At some schools you can start in year 10.
Vocational training at secondary school
You can build vocational training into your:
- Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)
- VCE Vocational Major (VCE VM)
- Victorian Pathways Certificate (VPC).
You can choose from a selection of training courses across a range of industries.
You can also do a paid school-based apprenticeship or traineeship (SBAT) as part of your senior secondary schooling.
