After the Federal Parliament passed national wage theft laws in December 2023, the Victorian Government announced it plans to repeal the state’s wage theft offences. This means the Wage Inspectorate is no longer investigating alleged wage theft.

- a community legal centre
- the Australian Taxation Office, if your matter is about superannuation
- your union, if you are a member of one.
You can also:
- use the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria’s template ‘letter of demand’ to try and recover unpaid entitlements from your employer
- lodge a small claim in the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria or the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
