Renew a child employment licence

Employers can apply to renew a child employment licence up to 30 days before their existing licence expires.

Application timeframes

Licence holders can apply to have their licence renewed up to 30 days before their existing licence expires.

Licence applications and supporting documents should be submitted as soon as possible to ensure we have time to process them before the existing licence expires.

When assessing an application, we consider whether the applicant:

  • will act with integrity and honesty
  • understands child employment regulations and restrictions
  • can comply with the relevant laws, including the Child Safe Standards.

You must complete a new Fit and Proper Person Declaration and upload it to your renewal application.
