The Literacy and Numeracy Support Program is a free short course you can do while you are studying at TAFE. It will give you extra support with reading, writing, numeracy, speaking, learning and digital skills.
Extra support at TAFE
If you’re undertaking a subsidised Skills First program at a Victorian TAFE (excluding foundation skills or school based programs), you can enrol in the Literacy and Numeracy Support Program at the same time. This will help you get the support you need to finish your TAFE course.
How it works
Specialist teachers work with your TAFE teacher to make sure your course is easy to understand and that you’re getting the support you need.
Why it’s useful
This support isn’t just for study; it also helps you build skills for future jobs. For example, if you’re learning construction skills, your reading and maths will be related to construction topics.
Cost and eligibility
The Literacy and Numeracy Support Program is funded by Free TAFE.
It does not affect your eligibility for other Free TAFE programs.
