Women Deliver

The Women Deliver 2026 Conference (WD2026) will be hosted in Victoria on behalf of the Oceanic Pacific region.

The primary obstacle for gender equality is the persistent lack of bodily autonomy and integrity for girls and women.

Women Deliver 2026

Women Deliver is one of the largest gender equality conferences in the world. It will be held in Narrm (Melbourne) from 27 to 30 April 2026.

We will welcome 6,500 gender equality advocates from around 170 countries. The conference will provide a space for important conversations, to break barriers and address challenges. There will be opportunities to further advance gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights.

This global event will bring together advocates, and leaders to drive progress on issues that matter most to women and girls.

It will include key issues such as:

  • climate justice
  • First Nations treaty and truth telling
  • economic empowerment
  • ending gender-based violence.

WD2026 in Melbourne will showcase our region’s work to advance gender equality. It will provide opportunities to strengthen and form new national and regional partnerships.

This will be the first time the conference has been held in the Oceanic Pacific region.

Melbourne was chosen to host WD2026 after Victoria’s success as regional convening partner for the 2023 conference. The Victorian Government hosted regional convenings in Fiji and Melbourne.

This led to a large delegation from the Oceanic Pacific region travelling to WD2023, in Kigali, Rwanda, in July 2023.
