Free lesson plans for primary school teachers

Curriculum-linked lesson plans

The Conservation Regulator, in partnership with Cool.org, has developed five curriculum-linked lesson plans for primary school teachers in Victoria. The lesson plans for years 1-6 aim to educate students on:

  • the importance of looking after the environment
  • the rules that exist to protect our native plants and animals
  • the role that they play in preserving the cultural and natural heritage of Victoria’s landscapes.

Cool.org is known for its thoughtful, real-world, curriculum-aligned resources that equip teachers to create better student outcomes. The Conservation Regulator and Cool.org have developed each lesson plan in collaboration with education experts. They each directly link with different subjects within the Victorian curriculum and concepts of environmental protection are explored through various videos, printable resources, outdoor activities, and play.

Students will learn about the world around them through lessons such as Looking After Places, Keeping the Wild in Wildlife and Physical Activities and Our Environment.

You can access the lesson plans for free by visiting Cool.org.
