Head, Transport for Victoria

The Head, Transport for Victoria (Head, TfV) is a statutory authority established by s64A of the Transport Integration Act 2010 with the primary objective to coordinate, provide, operate, and maintain the public transport system, the freight rail network, and the road system in Victoria.

The Head, TfV holds a number of responsibilities within the Victorian Planning System to deliver its transport function, including as a Referral Authority, a landowner and as a body who may be affected by a development/land use proposal or planning scheme amendment.

The Head, TfV holds a key strategic role in ensuring that Victoria’s State Transport System is coordinated and integrated.
